Fishguts Inshore Charters 6/12,6/13,6/14 report
« on: June 14, 2010, 08:09:32 PM »
here is a few reports all in one shot ;D. On 6/12 I had the 3 person Ed Mcginnis charter out for an all day ocean wreck trip. We did have a quick stop in the bay on a school of hungry 2 pound blues for some fast action on our way out to the ocean. The first few stops produce  a good blackfish bite but was slow for seabass. A run north put the charter on some good action with quality fish. The group was well on there way to  big catch when the 20mph South winds force me to cut the trip short with a few dozen in the box.

On 6/13 I had a group of 3 anglers from Texas. With reliable bay fishing as of late this was Fishguts Inshore Charters first bay only trip of the season. The trip started with a slow pick of blues in 6 feet of water. They raised a dozen or so fish but it wasmuch slower than it had been all week. A short move to the fluke grounds produced plenty of action on short fluke. The guys landed 34 fish to 17.5". With not much meat in the box it was time to look for the blues again. This time it was lock and load and the charter got plenty to put on the grill.

On 6/14 it was off to the wrecks again with Pat and Lou from CherryHill. In glass calm conditions the guys hammered away at nice quality seabass and ling.  The two anglers finished the day with their 50 seabass bag limit to 3lbs and 7 nice ling. Felt good to cover the fillet table again with a nice pile of knuckle heads.
Fishing is heating up and the catching has been very good in the bay and ocean. We are now running bay/ocean combo trips in addition to our 10hour wreck trips.
