Cashin and I pulled out of Keyport at dead low tide to find Bunker Jumping, We snagged A bunch for when the sun went down. The water temp was 68 deg and the wind was light. We made a run off Keansberg and drifted the hole for awhile. We caught 2 Keepers to 22" and 15 shorts. A few of the shorts were just under 18". All the fish were landed in the shallow water surrounding the hole 5' to 8'deep. Killie's, Squid and frozen Spearing were the bait. No Blues or junkfish were caught.
As the sun was setting we motored over to Old Orchard area and set up anchor to use the Bunker we snagged. We stayed a couple of hours chumming and chunking but caught nothing.. We had one runoff on a livelined Bunker that came back bit in half.
The water temp went down to 66 deg on the incoming tide.. We head back in to get some sleep before work.. Overall it was a nice night.
Good Luck,, Eddie
