City Island in the Bronx
« on: June 20, 2010, 02:08:23 PM »
WE took a ride to our daughter's house in Tuckahoe, NY yesterday.  She and my Son in law Jim wanted to take us out for lunch.  They took us to City Island in the Bronx, to the Crab Shack. I have never been to City Island, What a great place.  No bars on the windows and it has the flavor of a maritime village.  There are a few party boats that call the Island home and a whole lot of restaurants.  The food was great at the Crab Shack.  We had Breaded squid and Scungilli Salad for the appetizers.   I had the softshell crab which were a nice size and real tasty.  The only thing was that they didn't serve them as a sandwich, So I put them between the garlic bread that they served and they were great. If in the City, City Island is a great place to check out.
Forgive your enemy but, remember the bastard's name.
