Fathers Day Fluking Raritan Bay
« on: June 21, 2010, 08:14:00 AM »
myself and my son Capt Brian (striper 74)out of Sayreville at 6 for a half day of fluking.Brian running the boat for the day.headed straight for the Reach in the area where I had success Friday.first drift picking up fish,a few shorts and 1 keeper at 19 inches, man I'm thinking we got a hot bite and we'll have our limit and be home by 10,we boxed 4 fish in this area with the biggest being a 21 incher.this bite lasted no more than an hour, then it was a slow pick with no more for the box.moved around some trying the Keansburg hole, picking a short there.moved to back bay and even tried in the river where we have had success this time of the year with no takers.I know why I don't like to fish weekends, after pretty much having the bay to my self on week days during the early striper run,a lot of boats out there today.headed in around 11:30.great fathers day on the water with Brian and we did bring home some meat. t^  Kez
