Raritan Bay Fluking 6/23
« on: June 23, 2010, 05:25:37 PM »
John and myself, plus also had Ben on board again, out of Sayreville at 6 this morning and headed straight out to the Reach.had a good fast drift with the wind and tide in the same direction.we were able to pick away at fish all morning, with a lot missing the mark at the 17 inch range.John and Ben were able to put 2 each in the box with Ben having the biggest at 22 inches.made a few moves around and tried the Keannsburg hole and also tried the 1 can Keyport with no more for the box, also tried the back bay and river where we picked a few shorts and some hook ups that were lost.again I had a day where I was a non contributor to the box.nice day on the water, plan was to come in early to beat the heat, but a good breeze all day on the water.headed in around 2:30.   Kez

You may not have directly put fish in the box, but it's your vessel and you put them on the fish.  Just as good, if not better, in my book.  t^

Good day Dennis.

If it's anything like on my boat, the captain only fishes a quarter of the time. The rest is spent catering to the crew. Cut bait, get the net, tie rigs, monitor the drift, undo tangles, etc.  thud
