Headed out for another day on the Bottom Grounds with Larry back for another charter. Bob Edison, Son Ed, Judy, Kieth and Uncle Bob Rounded out todays crew.
Another Trip where quality was the word of the day. Starting off picking some Nice Keepers amongst shorts. Get a Good blast off each pile and then move a few yards to another to start the action.
Some real Beauties, Ed had a Monster Knuckle head that went Over 5lbs( Weighed on boat n reel seat) , another one over 4lbs. Numerous others in the 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 Lb class... Either a small short or a Nice Keeper almost all were in that 14 - 16 in range or Bigger.
Couldnt sit on a Piece to long... had to bounce around alot... But ya get a nice blast when ya first drifted or anchored... picking away and then moving on.
Bounced around all day picking nice size keepers at every stop. Life on all just some better than others.
One spot had some real nice Blackfish on it along with seabass. Uncle Bob Was first with a Nice 8 lber, Then Bob Edison hooked in a real monster weighed in at over 11lbs, Keith had a 6 lber and we had a bunch more that were smaller. All were released after wieght and picture. Cant keep em but nobody complained about the fight!!!
Back to the Seabass, Kept Plucking away few here few there... Typical grind it out type Bite... Made a couple stops on the way home to add a few more to the Cooler!!!
By Days the Charter boxed up 126 Quality Seabass up to 5lbs, Numerous others in the 2-4lb range along with 8 Ling for over 130 Tasty Critters... They also Had Fun (releasing) with some Blackfish including some real nice ones including and 11 and 8 lber and some others!!!
Larry and Crew were Great as always!!!
