The Squan liked killies better today
« on: June 30, 2010, 09:44:46 PM »
Fished the last 2 hours of in and most of the out. I don't know why but I stopped by Pell's and picked up some killies. They out fished gulp by a lot today. Since it was a calm day I took my 16' Tracker out to the Axel reef for a while picked up a 22" fish and some short sea bass but since I forgot to take my sea sick meds I didn't last long. 8 years in the Navy and it took 40' swells in the Irish Sea in a Submarine on the surface (no keel) to get sick and that was because my sonar operator puked into a clear plastic bag 2' away and I could smell it. Now I get sea sick at the drop of a dime not just puking but dizzy sweats etc. I was told that it was a side affect of Lyme Disease(funny I used to trout fish in Lyme Conn)  Anyway I noticed that it is looking a lot like last year 33 shorts and 1 keeper plus one ocean keeper. Still a lot of fun. I just love being out there. I am going to try the Axel again tomorrow with my daughter and meds hope they work. Later

If you see a green 16' aluminum boat with a side console and a 50 Yamaha that's me. Its a late model boat 1991 but a great river/bay boat I just pick my days for the ocean. LATER
