Tuna Trip
« on: July 02, 2010, 05:34:36 AM »
I hoping to do and overnight chunking then trolling trip in the morning for Tuna.  Does anyone have any recent Tuna reports so that I can figure out where would be the best place to start?

I heard there was a good bite for big eye in the Hudson and I saw bluefins about 45 miles out while sharking last week.
Good Luck.

The chunking for tuna hasn't really started yet. Most guys who are doing overnighters are drifting for sharks/swords and day trolling for the tunas. No one spot is hot right now - you need to follow the water.

Thanks for the info.

I usually wait until the end of August before I start chunking.  I was just hoping for some positive feedback but it seems to be that Tuna is a little inconsistent right now.

We are going to change our plans and stay inshore for some fluke and blues.
