Fishguts Charters 7/14 seabass limits
« on: July 14, 2010, 06:40:00 PM »
We managed to sneak another trip in today ;D. Today I had a 2 man charter with Alex and Christan looking for seabass. A look at the sat readings and a call to another capt(thanks Jerry) showed a small weather window to put a catch together. We shoved off at 8:30 after the last rain cell passed and had no rain all day. The seas still have a large SE swell and the inlet is "special" on the out going tide but the winds stayed calm and the fish bit well. Not much quality today and more 12 1/8 fish than I could count but the 2 anglers hammered away and boxed their 50 seabass limit by 1:30. They also had a few nice ling and released a couple blackfish and a cod. Made the run back in as the skies grew dark but the storm passed way to the west.
