Hello all,
Boat was down for a Few days due a Mechanical issue which we happened on last seabass trip last week...Paul Lukas and Gang had there limit of 150 seabass and a great day but we Ran into a Mechanical issue on the ride home. Took a few days to get all the parts and then we had the best man on it. Now motor is back in excellent working condition and we will be back fishing daily!!! Very Sorry to any the customers that had to miss a trip with us during this past week while the boat was been fixed!!!
Sat 7/10 SHBA Fluke Tourney Day 1 Fluke to 8lbs
Our Great Regular Customer and Fish Monger Supporter Bob Bates Booked the boat for the weekend to enter in the Shba Fluke Tourny. He had a 4 man crew of Great Fish Monger Regulars along with him for the tourney team. Cool Hand Al, Tony Triggs, and Joe Jigs, rounded out the crew!!!
Decided to stay local in the deep due to having 2 days and the Threatening weather.
Started off slow with a Couple of Seabass and a Stray Keeper or two didnt have much drift so covering ground was tough. Hit a Bunch rough pieces and found a few Nice Fish... Boxed a Nice 6 Llber and Then the rod Bent over with a Nice 8lber ( Our Biggest fish of the day) along with a couple of other Keepers.
Action died and we went looking around where Al ended his day last week with good results... Picked a few Keepers and had More short Life... Along with a Keeper Cod few seabass and a couple of ling.
After that we got a very strong current and the drift was very fast for the rest of the day... Bounced around But only Picked a Few more Keepers. Headed in to weigh up the big Fish.
By days end we wound up with 14 Keeper Fluke up to 8lbs... a Keeper Cod and A few Seabass and Ling.
Think were on the board somewhere but we will be back at it tomorrow looking for Better!!!
Feels Good to have something to report again and even better to be back on the water!!!
