Met Steve in Riverdale at 4:30 am.
1st stop Franks for Live Herring.
Filled the well & Steve got us to Round Valley in no time.
Steve launched his 14 ft Starcraft boat with a 9.9 Mercury & off we went.
We sent out 4 lines in different depths and I turned to Steve & said it's 6am let's see how long it takes to catch the first fish.An hour & a half goes by & Steve is hooked up.Steve faught the fish & I got the net ready.Steve's reel was screaming & I knew it was a Laker.Steve finally got the fish on top of the water and I netted the 1st keeper Laker of the day.We continued drifting the same area and it was slow.Steve made a move & finally 1 of my rods the Strike guard goes off.I set the hook & saw the fish come to the top & spit the hook.Almost sure the fish was a Nice size trout.I was bummed out because It was slow & I missed the fish.We continued Drifting until 11am & it was just to hot so we packed it in.
Now that Summer is here I am done Freshwater Fishing until the Fall & Winter months.
