Shimano Baitrunner 6000D
« on: July 07, 2010, 10:09:35 PM »
Hi, I recently bought the Shimano Baitrunner 6000D reel. I have fished with it a few times. My problem is that when I'm reeling in with it it seems very hard to reel and it is making almost like a grinding sound. Is this normal? The reel is almost brand new. Just seems to me that when I reel in it is a little tough to do especially with a fish on the line. Any input or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Take it back and exchange it for another.  You might have gotten a bad one.
