Fishguts Charters 7/20 mixed bag wreck
« on: July 20, 2010, 07:02:56 PM »
Today it was Blackfish Doug,Bill and Lou for an all day wreck trip. With a nice forcast we all were looking forward to an enjoyable day and a full cooler. We were greeted at the inlet with Hawaii 5/0 swells that stacked  from the beach to at least 10miles offshore. Made the choice to run to a few pieces I have not hit for a few weeks that have produced cod and ling in July the last few years. Yep cod and ling there this July also. The 3 anglers grinded out a nice catch of mixed size seabass (50 keepers to 4lbs), 4 cod(2 keepers to 23"), 5 ling to 3lbs, and 4 blackfish to 17" for a nice mixed bag. No great bite today just a lot of adjustments and resets to keep the guys catching. Started to see a few more short fluke near structure also.
