Launching in the Manasquan is tough. There aren't any public ramps. There is public access on the bay side of the canal in Bay Head on Bay Ave. Google Maps should do it. Good for boats to 20' or so. Many of the marinas have ramps for the use of their customers and may offer an option. I can't add anything on this.  ;D

deep cove marina aka strictly marina aka glimmerglass is the only ramp to get straight out the the squan inlet without dealing with the train bridge...they charge $10 each way ($20 total). it's tight in there not for the beginner.

you can launch in brick..go thru canal and under train bridge to inlet then ocean if your more comfortable doing it that way.

Joe has the glimmer glass pegged....I kept my boat there many years ago and it is indeed tight back there....nice short ride to the inlet though...

now is there enought room, width and depth to water ski or pull a tube in the manasquan river around there? or is it too narrow and shallow with a lot of boat traffic?

i also heard theres an island there, treasure island, where you can boat up to and anchor, swim and mess around.  is that true?

If you are confident in your boat skills than launch from deep cove marina. i wouldn't recommend water skiing in the river. there is A LOT of boat traffic especially on the weekends. Plus, you'll probably get cursed at a lot. Go into the bay if you want to do the recreation thing. However, you should know your boat and what it's minimum operating depth is before you run aground. If not, stay out front and off to one side of the inlet as there is traffic going in and out as well. Have fun and enjoy!
