YSA Flukie 7/20
« on: July 21, 2010, 12:39:16 PM »
Decided not to work and go fish.

Headed out around 6. Picked fish on every drift near 11A. Had them in 35, had them in 11.5, and had them all in between. Threw back a few right at 18 that were fatties.

Tide died, so did the bite. Motored back to Waggies with a stogie to pick up the Missus who had slept late but was bringing lunch and in charge of resupplying. Heading back out, she suggested near the Triangle where she hooked up immediately. Weird wind/tide combo as the incoming started it had us drifting NW.

Moved to Jerry's hole where now we drifted NE- BAM BAM keepers and shorts.

Probly caught 60 fluke today, only fluke, no LRs, deathrays or woofers. Headed back in round 3 with one at 19". Had we kept everything right at 18" we woulda had six. Maybe next time I'll take my chances that they don't shrink in the box. Nice to see it appears the fish have moved into the Bay in good numbers.

As I tell all my releases- NOW GROW UP!!!!!!!
Back to work today and tomorrow, maybe get out Friday since I've decided not to work more often.
