On 7/22 I had a 3man all day wreck trip. Very strong west winds really kept us from moving around a lot so the crew had a slow grind of shorts and keepers. They managed 40 keeper seabass and plenty of empty hooks. Today I had a charter cancel at the last minute. Not to upset as forcast looked like it was going to be a short day any way with strong south winds.Hate to waste a morning so I grabbed my pop and headed out before the wind came on. We got to say hello to Rod and check to see if he still had his minnow bucket attached
as he was nailing some fluke. We lucked out today and hit a inshore spot with perfect wind and tide and very good bite. The best part was the 5 keepers for every short. Is it really July? 2 hours and 50 keepers seabass in the box it was time to harass the blackfish. Wind into the tide but the toggies did not seem to mind. Some real nice fish today but no slobs. We grabbed 2 for the table and released about 15 more up to 20" and called it a day at noon as the wind was starting. Another fun day spent with my pop. Top seabass was 3 lbs and toggie was a little over 6lbs.
