Waisting Bait!!!! 7/24
« on: July 24, 2010, 11:29:50 PM »
Hit the GSS reef today with the wife and kids! Got a late start as usual with this crew! Got there around 12:00 I'm sure the bite was on when they were deciding what they wanted from Wawa Arrrr. After hearing the fluke were finally there, I bought extra ice to keep all the fish cold for the journey back to PA. rofla Of course...NOTTA! Had some really nice hits but they were just playing the bait! We did have some really nice conditions and all in all a great day on the water! We saw some dolphins for the first time this year and the kids had a great time! Picked up a short in the bay by 116 on the way in. I hope they are there Aug.14th. for the upcoming tournament! Fish On.

The fluke are there! have to work your depth finder hard and find a good wreck. I was out last week and worked some tanks on a patch  ground that was higher than everthing else around it.(backwards I know) Look on the chart towards the bottom. The bites were all LAZY bites and all the fish were caight on the assist hook after feeding them some line. The ice for the ride home was the kiss of death. Then again maybe it was the goofy rig I made because it was the only thing that was catching

Thanks, I'll send you an e-mail! Where you at in Langhorne? I live in Levittown PA. but keep the boat in West Creek NJ. I didn't just go there because of your report! So don't feel bad!! This is one of my regular go-to spots! It was just a lazy day of fishing and fun. I'm gonna load some fresh structure info into the GPS and give LER a shot next trip. It's alot closer to the inlet.
