Spearfish 7-31-10 Fluke and Seabass
« on: August 02, 2010, 08:48:57 AM »
Fished on Saturday with Dad and Hunter.  Searched around for peanuts in the am, but couldn't find any.  Started to head out and came across a guy who couldn't get his engine to stay running so I gave him a tow back to the dock.

After the late start I headed towards the hook with only gulp and squid on the menu.  We must of caught 25 shorts near the SP and had enough so we moved out to deeper water.  We worked our way out towards Scotland fishing along the way.

Finally caught a couple of keepers and started pulling some nice seabass.  I kept hitting the same little hump and each time we would all have bites or a seabass.  We managed to put 16 nice humpbacks in the box, and we wound up with 4 keeper fluke to 4lbs.  My dad also caught 2 eels, one of which was about 4 feet long.
