YSA Fluke 7/31 & 8/1
« on: August 01, 2010, 05:42:49 PM »
Late start Saturday as we hosted Chris' cousin Donna and her peeps for a full boat.
Caught fluke near 11a and the reach as the tide petered out. Moved by keyport1 for outgoing and had afew more shorts. Kids had fun and so did we. We had to be back by 330 but big smiles all around helped offset the EMPTY FISHBOX.
Wanted to go for ocean Sunday but the forecast and cloudiness kept us local again. Repeated the late start just me and Chris. Went over by 42reach for nada then the secondary channel as the tide finished its flood. Wind kept us westwardho and a nice thick NY keeper inhaled Chris' pnut/squid combo by the 53. Put that in the box for later.
Nothin much more as the drift changed to north. Moved to Jerry's hole for a short time and as it got a little dark in the West we bailed around 330 again.
Chris' fish on the boga said almost 4#. Thick meats mmmmmmm but only the one....
