After a few days in the bay it felt good to be back out on the wrecks. We could of used a little less SE ground swell(5 plus feet) but the winds were light and the fish hungry. Today it was Randy Sr and Jr and Sam on an all day wreck trip. The morning started with plenty of action but not enough quality. All day wreck trips are about what goes into the box and not "drop and reel" on the weenies LOL. We realy had to look for the keepers today. We hit a number of spots and found good life on most but only a handful of keepers here and there. After a little searching(and more than a few miles) we found what the guys came for.....nice 14 and 15" seabass in fair to good numbers. The guys plugged away and finished with 52 keeper seabass to 3lbs, 1 porgy and one tog for some nice bags of tasty fillets. The south winds put a real chill on the inshore waters dropping them down to 61 degrees. I don't think the fluke guys are to happy about it but the cool water will get the big toggies snappin and wont hurt the seabassing.
