I had 3 boat regulars(Steve,John and Wilson) out for an all day wreck trip today. We were greeted at the inlet with some confused seas and left over ground swell.Once out on the grounds we had strong currents that really did not help the bite. We found some real nice size stuff today including the largest seabass of the season( 5 lbs 11ounces on a digital) and 4 more over 3 lbs. We stuck it out and stayed in one area trying to work over the big fish. Great size but not in great numbers. A slow grind with a good shot here and there. Looking forward to hitting this are again when the current falls out as it looks to have some great potential. The 3 anglers also had a nice pick of tog today keeping them busy. Finished the day with less fish in the box than I would of liked but the quality was nice. The guys hit the dock with 30 seabass, 3 blackfish to 4lbs, 2 nice ling, and a 13" porgy. A nice day with some good fisherman.
