Two decent days of fluke fishing...
« on: August 08, 2010, 08:41:41 PM »
But the keeping sucked.

Was out yesterday and today for fluke. As per usual, a decent amount of fish caught, but most were throwbacks. Had four keepers on each trip. Yesterdays throwback total - 61 fluke. Today's throwbacks - 29 fluke. Thanks Eddie for the counter.  ;D

Had some seabass mixed in with the fluke, lotsa shorts on them also, but enough keepers to make the crews happy.

Gonna keep trying for the biggies.  TT^

So I guess that wasn't you I was talking to this mornring in the Chicken Canyon? Another boat named Irish Ayes was calling someone. Figuring it was you, I called him back and asked if it was Joe. He said yes! So we talked for a few and that was it... Oooops!

Glad you caught fish today!  t^

thud Wow Joe I guess I made you feel bad after Bob's report the other day :-* Still nowhere close to the reports from when you first retired. We use to hear what time you left the dock which way you turned out of the inlet, even the drag of someones reel. I think we need to do a Mudhole Bluefin trip to get some excitment back into your reports ;) ;D

The tough days help you appreciate when you have a cooler full more.  Just think, if the limit was 14" like it once was, you would have been filleting for a long time.
