Fish Monger Sun 8/22 Slow Fluking
« on: August 23, 2010, 09:09:09 PM »
Headed out for another day of fluking with Paul Lukas and Friends.

Weather forecast seemed ok 10-15 no gust... so back to the grounds...Ocean and drift started out nice.

First drift was slow... moved around and found a patch of fish... Picked a couple of keepers a drift along with a bunch of shorts for about three passes... lots of the shorts were heart breaker 17 1/2 - 17 3/4 fish.

Wind came around more s se and there went our bite... Hoped around picking at a few shorts here n there... only managed one more keeper...

Wind really started cranking and the drift in the deep became too fast... Moved inshore and it wasnt no better... picked 2 Keeper seabass and some short fluke.

Conditions cont to deteriorate...more wind...then we had sideways pouring rain making for a fun ride home and end to the day!!!

The guys hung in there despite terrible conditions...

By days end we had 7 Keeper Fluke and 2 Seabass.

Wish it was a Better Day... but gotta take the good with the bad!!!

Thanks Again Guys!!!
