Fishguts Charters 8/26 seabass/trigger
« on: August 26, 2010, 07:13:28 PM »
Felt good to get back out. Today was an all day wreck trip for the 3 man Russel group. Conditions were very good with calm seas and no swell. The water was still a little dirty right off the beach but I saw the best blue water of the season out past 5 miles. Real good bite today with plenty of action and a very good percentage of keepers.  Most keepers were in the 14" to 16" range for a sweet looking box. The guys got the first trigger and croaker of the year on the boat. Read tons of life on the open bottom but only made two drops on it that produced 3 bites and one croaker. Really could not leave the good seabass bite to look around. At the end of the day the 3 anglers finished with 61 seabass, 1 porgy, one croaker,1 blue, and 1 trigger for a nice full box.
