Pilot Bottom fishing - 9/5
« on: September 05, 2010, 09:48:31 PM »
Gave it one more shot with the Silent Assasin pushing off at 6:00.   SHB wind swept.  Turned the corner at the tip to fishable water along the beach/false hook.  Had fish on drifts no keeps.  Seas flat close to shore headed south to the reef.  Boats anchored fishing for porgies.   Drifted through some sticky stuff to make donations of lead.  rgmn  Moved further out into 55-60 had non-stop short action on both CBs and fluke.  Couldn't buy a keeper fluke.  Put 4 sea bass in the cooler.   Drifted this area for 2.5 hrs with constant fish.  No flat meat for the locker.

Sporty seas with the honk but still a good day out.  Till next time t^
