Had Bob Cole, Ralph, Maurice, Harold and Dave aboard today. Went non-stop to the spot we left them yesterday. Found a
huge fleet of boats when we arrived. Heard from Pop's Soul who was in the same area.
The drift was non existant and so was the catching. Only had a couple of short fish. Decided to move north to see if the conditions were any better.
Hit the Rattlesnake area but stayed away from the fleet that was there. The conditions were a little better, the drift went from .1kt to .2 kts.
Dave quickly hooked up with a fish that hit the eighteen inch and two little lines mark to put the first one in the cooler. We also got three keeper sea bass and a few shorts from this area. Gave Skip a call to see if he was where we left him. Said he was on his way back there after trying deeper water with poor results.
Back to the same area, again, psssssstttttttttt.
Made a final move to England Bank. Started pulling fluke at a regular basis. Many shorts and four more keepers.
End of the day...five keeper fluke, fifty-two shorts (thanks for the clicker Eddie
), three keeper sea bass and several short sea bass.
Time to move onto another species and hope the keeping is better in the fall.
