Irish Ayes Fluking 9-5-10
« on: September 05, 2010, 08:36:36 PM »
Left the inlet and headed east. Had Johhny Oz, Andy and DAve aboard. Travelled about a mile and stopped at the first lump. Slow pick of short fluke. Moved further out, lotsa west wind and no bites. Made another move, this time north and shallower.

Made a drift off of Ocean Grove and picked up a nice seabass for the box and a keeper fluke. Not much life so we moved further north and back into deeper water.

Now at the Red Church in 75 feet of water. Started getting a pick of fluke, some keepers, some shorts. A few more seabass for the box too. Blue fish showed up and put on a show with several being hooked and making tarpon type jumps clear out of the water.

Finished the day with 13 keeper fluke, kept 5 blue fish and 4 nice seabass.

One day left for fluking this season.  :P Will be out pounding the ocean floor again tomorrow for the last shot at the flatties.  t^

Nice Joe.   Are you still keeping track of your catch?

I know you see the decline in "keepers".  But are you showing a lot more smaller fish?
