On The Water's "The Striper Cup" Award Ceremony
« on: October 06, 2010, 11:09:55 AM »
After fishing hard this year, my son Hunter weighed in several beautiful stripers in May, June, and July. He qualified for several prizes in The Striper Cup, and we made the trip up to the awards ceremony in Buzzards Bay Mass last weekend. This tourney runs from May through Sept and is from Maryland to Maine. There are thousands of entrants in The Striper Cup.

Hunter won three weekly prizes and one monthly prize. He qualified as one of five junior anglers to win the grand prize of a fully rigged fishing kayak, and as luck would have it, that kayak made the trip home to NJ!

It was a great tourney and the awards party was awesome. They had things for the whole family, food from The Black Dog, beer from BUDWEISER, Quantum, Van Staal, Costa Del Mar, tons of On The Water giveaways, live band .... It was worth the drive even if he didnt win the grand prize in the youth division. Enjoy the pictures.

Way to go Hunter and congratulations on the new edition to your fishing arsenal.  But now your dad needs one so you can show him how to catch those stripers...   TT^ grtn grtn
