Roosters crabbing 9-16
« on: September 16, 2010, 07:15:14 PM »
Tom and I were up the river to #34 marker in about five feet of water. Outside of two commerical crabbers we had the place to ourselves. The East wind didn't bother us none as two anchors held us steady with the outgoing tide. Arriving at 7:45 AM we left at 10:45 with about 50 nice crabs, all at or above 5". Bunker was the bait as chicken went untouched, handlines only. There was mostly female crabs which suprised us so far up the river. Pete
