Capt's Don Sr, Don Jr, Kooz made crew today. Skunk was a late scratch. Should have stayed out of the bar! Pushed off at 6:45. Fueled up, flat water all the way around hook. Some decent occassional swell but a beautiful ride all the way south. Stopped first spot short of destination with marks all over the place. Clams, squid, spearing and greenies inventoried. A couple of quick pops on the drift. Shorty Seabass and a surprise pick of the day. Spike weakie
on clam. It looked like the bottom was paved with them. Moved around a bit with little action and motored down pass the SHR. Started drift to see if anyone home. Kooz is striking CB's like he's playing lazer tag! We noodle around a bit and begin to pick away. Dropped the hook on a good piece. We went through all our bait bailing fish. For the day.... a 10 Porgies 9 for the box. Capt Don Sr and Iola will have a Cats Fest with the Pogies.
28 CB's 13 for the box. 1 3lb bluefish. 5 Fluke 2 nice and chunky would have been keepers, returned.
3 Toothy togs all around 11-12" 2 Lionel Ritchies and 5 bergals.
Called it at day 2:00 and headed in for clean up. Gorgeous day on the water, action, Tastees subs and some suds
