Hunter 2- Sea robbin expert 9/19/2010
« on: September 20, 2010, 06:07:56 PM »
Massbaster(Steve) and I trailered the boat back to the marina to get it back in the slip after the Lake George trip. We decided to head out for a few hours and try some local rockpiles. The time was around 1:30pm and the tide was incoming, water temp around 69 deg. Nice sunny day with light wind.. I anchored up on some rocks by Staten Island and used strips of clam on porgie rigs, No Luck at all.. I made a few moves with the same results. We had limited time to stay out so we drifted the clams on some good Fluke grounds. Then it was Sea Robbin time,, We must have landed 30 in an hour. Nothing else, just searobbins. Next time out I'm going to make the trip south of Sandy Hook.  We did have a good time though,, Good luck,, Eddie t^
