Sea Hawk bottomfishing weekend report 9/18-19

Saturday we had a pick of porgies and seabass as well as some nice blackfish. Tom took the pool with a 5lb blackfish.

Sunday we had a small crowd that left late as we waited for a group of 5 to arrive so we could sail. Tried various drops from the channels to Long Branch. Picked a few fish at each. Had Mike "gottog" out with us and he tried his luck with some blueclaws he had. Caught some short blackfish and a few keeper sized ones. Brian Gusman was also out to try some bottomfishing as he said he was "fluked out." Of course he caught some fluke on clams today!

Stayed out later to make up for late departure and kept trying to find the fish. Pool fish was a 4lb seabass. All in all a slow day, but beautiful weather on the water.
