1 st fall Striper attempt
« on: October 11, 2010, 07:41:57 AM »
Took the old man out for his "last" trip...been telling me that since 2006....we put the trollers out and gave it a shoot all around Flynn's Knoll...some nice bait balls but nothing on them...decided to head out front and made our way past the fleet fishing behind the clam boats...was hoping to see some bird action but they were just pretending...settled in at the rocks and had nice action on porgy and seabass up to 16 inches...did see a couple blow-ups around us...but boat traffic quickly broke up the small schools(looked like bass!)...wanted to head further south but couldn't put the old man thru that abuse. Long slow ride back...he will be back for his "last" trip Halloween weekend...hopefully the stripes are here in good numbers by then!

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!
