Ran up to Long Branch for some bottom fishing but saw some birds off elberon.  Stopped and jigged non-stop spike weakfish (10-12").  Left them to continue the bottom fishing.  It was a day of mixed catch:

1 blue fish
Multiple weakfish (no keepers)
1 eel
1 blowfish
2 sea robins
3 limit of Blackfish with more keepers thrown   
  back
15 really nice sea bass - many throw backs
20 nice porgies (12 to 14" kept)
2 fluke

9 different species on one trip!
Beautiful day on the water
Clams and crabs were the bait.
