Skunked raritan bay eve, trip 11/02/2010
« on: November 03, 2010, 07:59:33 PM »
Pulled out of Keyport around 4:30pm with Cashin to a flat sea, water temp 48 deg, clear sky and high tide. We trolled around the Keyport flats with a eel tube umbrella rig with no luck. We sped over to the reach and trolled the 18, 19, 20 area with marks but no hits. When the sun went down, so did the temperature :P. We switched over to live eels and drifted many marks in the area and had no hits at all. We moved over to 3 different spots by Union beach/ Keyport area and had no luck. We packed it in at 9pm to 39 deg air temp, I have to get up early for work so I did not want to run down south. I did well up the Raritan last year at this time. We have a couple of weeks left, So lets see what happpens. Good Luck guys! t^    , Eddie
