Tried the instant replay with the eels today. Turned the corner at 7:15 with the two Nicks. Expectations high. Saturday traffic a little lighter than usual...boats being hauled and a pretty decent NNW but still some hardware making moves. Went right on the track line from yesterday. Water was churned up and fairly dirty here. Nickshaw bends a pole after a half hour on the drift. He's gettin all pumped as his line is pegged deep. Crankin he gets an occassional shake. We're busting his chops that he's probably got a boot. He keeps pulling in line only to surface a foul hooked skate
Where's the bite? We kept the snakes working for over an hour and nothing going. Nickshaw breaks out the deadly dick (green) and is flipping like he's tossing burgers as a short order cook. He comes tight on a fish. Fast retrieve only a few feet down. Looking to redeem himself, he brings a 23 to the boat that's quickly released. The three of us change up hardware and start jigging like madmen. NADA.

Kept hearing chatter that the troll was producing... so I guess you do what's working. Out come the niners! Sure enough first set out 5 mins the port goes off. A 31 for the box. continued to work it producing two more shorts and of course a nasty demon. Seas got real confused. Troll was sloppy. Bounced around to a couple more spots. Went back to eel. Had a fish bang it right under the boat as we were getting ready to put the wrap on the morning. Tightened up on it but didn't feel good about the set. Fish came up to the surface real quick saw the boat and spit. Eel in tack. Scratched our heads and called it a day. Back to the dock at 12:30.
Good time
