With the bad weather of late decided to take another trip up to Ny and fish my favorite tribs off Lake Ontario. Broken Bobber Tom, Johnny J, and Butch the Jeweler rounded out the crew!!!
Day1 - We went scouting the waters... we had decent action with steelhead/bows in the 4-8lb class and some browns... second spot we caught a Bunch of browns in the 5-7lb class.
Day 2 - Was the Big Brown Beat down!!! Loads of brown trout with bows n Chrome mixed in... 6 of the big hook jaw male browns were in the 8-12lb Class!!! Loads of fresh females as well
Day 3 - Fishing was just insane!!! windy, overcast conditions had the fish chewing from start to finish at all locations... lock n load type action at times!!! Noodle sticks were bent all day Big Browns, Bow, fresh Chrome and i even got a Bonus Pike...Over 100 fish landed in the day!!! Butch landed a Bow n brown over 10lbs on his first trip.... It was truly a trout fishermans deam day!!!
Day 4 -We Picked at a Mix of everything in all location in the am before packing up and heading home.
All fish were taken fresh brown egg sacs on 6lb test n Flouro under a float on the noodle sticks.
Tied eggs until our eyes bled every night... Had to tie 200 a Night to keep up with the action. Fresh bait make the difference!!!
Still not enough water up the creeks... but ya just had to get to the mouths near the lake and they are stacked!!!
Loads of action...Caught over 200 fish total releasing most... the boys wanted to bring fish home so we kept a load of gut hooked or bleeding ones that wouldnt swim away for the smoker.
What a Trip!!! loads of fun and shenanigans!!!
