Darren, Paule and myself needed some togs in the wake of the Islander trip being scrubbed so we headed down to the Mohawk early Sunday morning...
Pretty stiff NE in the morning that subsided as the day went on to make for a really nice day on the water.
Fished off Sea Bright for the first drop then worked a little farther north and finished the day with two drops up on the rocks...
Had to work hard for em, very scratchy bite all around the boat, the stern seemed to be the better spot with most of the limits being caught there. Had some great conversation and laughs thoughout the day as we scratched away and put some meat in the coolers.
No big fish today, pool probably went about 5 lbs...lots of smaller fish going back over the rail...
I would say Darren had the hot hand catching the most fish but all were just short except for a nice roaster that found it's way into his cooler near the end of the day... He also caught the nicest piece of coral I have ever seen...wasn't 14" though and had to go back to fight another day
Paule held his own and got two in the box...I wound up with three on ice at days end.
Great meeting you Darren and fishing with you...gota do it again before the seasons over
Paule was a great time as always... you snapped some pics...fire em up here later when you get a chance and I'll see you Tues morning on the Monger
