Manasquan Reservoir 11/13
« on: November 13, 2010, 06:00:23 PM »
Hit the reservoir today from about 8am to 2pm. Fish finder almost got stomped to death a couple of times, guess I got what I paid for (hundred dollar hummingbird). Really sucked because if you ever really need a finder there, its this time of year. Got some pickerel to follow lures to the boat, my friend bill had one on then lost it, decent size maybe 25inches. Tried all the normal spots with nothing going on, not even on the trusty wacky rigged senkos...Picked up a couple small yellow perch near the end of the day, so at least I wasn't totally skunked. Overall a very slow day, not much happening. Oh, and were gonna need more than a couple monsoons to get the water level back, I have never seen it so low...Didn't bother with pictures on the perch, they weren't worth the effort.

Love that reservoir. Take advantage of the very low water to learn more about the bottom structure. The Hybrids in there just love a live lined perch by the way.  >:D  <'((((><
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><

Nice report JoeB.  Sorry the action was not so hot.

Love that reservoir. Take advantage of the very low water to learn more about the bottom structure. The Hybrids in there just love a live lined perch by the way.  >:D  <'((((><

Darren,
Although I've always wanted to, I've never caught a hybrid there (or anywhere).  Someday I'd like to tangle with one.
