Rod opinion please

I have the oportunity to buy a used St. Croix musky rod cheap. It's 7' rated for 20 to 40 lb test line.

I was thinking I'd pair it with a Penn 310 GT that I already own.

Any opinions on this outfit? I figure it would see occasional use for tog or head boat stripers and blues.
