Keansburg... A question.
« on: December 08, 2010, 09:07:04 PM »
I always fish in Keansburg Fishing Pier, this last season it was bad for me really.
Just wanted to know if you can fish on that beach
(night fishing), I saw some people fishing some nights. Maybe do you need some permission?
I guess Keansburg Beach is a public place, usually you don't see people in the beach and I want to try some surf.

I would like to get new spots (pier or surf) close to North Jersey in order to fish this next season.

Thank you

You could try the Perth Amboy Piers or Keyport

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Thank you !!

Union Beach is close to Keansburg, right? I can see the exit of route 36 going to Keansburg from GSP. I am going to try it !
Fees? permits? something in consideration ?

No fees, Union beach sticks out pretty far on the north side, And cliffwood beach is parrallel with Keyport harbor, You might want to swing by or call "The Tacklebox" Store on rt36 in Hazlet for some tips or places to fish in the area. You might want to register with the National saltwater Angler Registry on there websight.

Yes it has been repaired and is now open.  Here is a notice for the pier and the date of its posting is 12/01/2010.

Give it a try...
