CAPE MAY COUNTY — A man died when the 63-foot boat he was aboard sank in the Delaware Bay seven miles off the coast of Cape May early this morning, according to the United States Coast Guard.
Another man aboard the vessel was rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter and taken in critical condition to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
A member of the State Police alerted the Coast Guard that the boat was seen taking on water at around 1:35 a.m. It has not been determined yet how long the victim had been dead when the rescuers arrived.
