Nice... TT^

I just found out what it is going to cost to put my daughter through college for 5 years ouch... :-X :-X :-X

She will be graduating HS in '08 and looking at Savannah College of Art & Design for Architecture.  I could buy a real nice boat for what it will cost me a year ($40,000  :'( :'( :'()

Try Ebay.

If not there, Fisherman's Supply or Reel Life in the Pt. Pleasant area or Har-Lee Rod in Jersey City should have them

I got lucky with my daughter (who just finished her freshman year). She got a 95% ride and on top of that she received an additional scholarship to have all her books, lab fees and all other related costs paid for for all of her 4 years.  t^

FYI, if you're willing to put in the time & effort there are literally thousands of scholarships available out there (do an online search to get started). Most are for anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand but they add up.

Apologies for the thread hijack.

Hi Hareball,

I like the ones at Fisherman's Supply.

Next time I am there (probably tomorrow), I will find out who makes them (they are custom).

I have a pair a local shop (Marine Fab) made for me.

Why did I have them custom made? I had a pet peeve with many I looked at ... cheesy pin the the bottom where the rod is suppose to seat and cheesy saftey strap.

Something to look out for ...

Ed

thanks guys!

paul, no problem....soon enough my daughter will be heading to college $$$$

capt. ed, I had the same thoughts about the store outrodders. there could be alot of money hanging over the water and the last thing I want to see is an empty rod holder. :o

The ones shown here I believe are the same type as Boaters World. They will be my next pair. The ones I have now I got at Fisherman's Supply and are well made however, make sure when buying a pair they have 4 notches in the bottom as opposed to 2. Mine have 2 and limit the direction which you can angle them in certain rod holders situations.  t^
