2/26 Norma K cod
« on: February 28, 2011, 04:13:22 PM »
A case of actually being there yesterday.  First spot was amazing for most guys.  Honest drop n reel NJ cod fishing.  I had 4 double header keepers and filled 2 coolers and half a tote with my friend Scotty.  Nothing over 8lbs, but lots of 22"-26" fish.  We wound up 46 fish kept, 4 fish given away and many 22"-23" fish thrown back towards the end of the drop.  We tried two other spots that were a sporadic pick.  Best I could figure I had around 33 keepers and Scotty had around 20.  All but 1 of the 20 fishermen had over 10 keepers. I wish my friend John didn't go the day after yesterday.

Most of our 2 man catch, minus a few already filleted and some given away

Awesome trip congrats  t^ Amazing what a difference a day makes. Heard on Sunday that the Big Jamaica was on that wreck when we passed it. I think the cod were there but not in a feeding mood. THey would bite then stop then nothing and we would move.

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
