Its Time To Fish
« on: March 19, 2011, 02:32:51 PM »
OK.....Its time to stop reading about fishing and get yourself down to the water....No not the ocean.

The back bay is heating up and some of those bass are starting to move around the shallow waters of Ocean County......

The East side of the bay has some great shallow waters to be fished with a Kayak or small boat.....

I don't have the time most day's to get into my kayak......So I need to fish from land or throw on my waders.

Sun rise/set seem to be best for me......The fish are not that big.....But they are bass and thats what counts.

Small plugs worked slow on the surface or small rubber baits with just a hook is fine.....

If your going to be wadding the flats alone....Just take your time and stay out of the deep water......The flats offer some great fishing in the spring.....But just because they call it the flats.....It does have some very deep water.

Should be able to get out with the kayak soon, but with or without I'm still going fishing....

Start fishing guys.....The season started and the Bass are looking to eat.

The areas I fish are the ones you said where a wast of time

I agree Dave.  Just to let you know I was out last Thursday at A21 at IBSP and waded out back before sun up.  I first had on a school bus color Gaga but no hits.  I switched over to the yellow & white one and first cast taps but no hits.  Once the sun broke the horizon all stopped.

Happy Catching

Had a few taps before sunrise this morning over at the discharge before sunrise.  No takers.  Was using bloodworms and clams.  They're around!  t^
