I am looking for a reliable mechanic to change water pump, fix steering, and gas issues with my 90 horse yamaha 2-stroke. Boat is a 2004 seaswirl striper 1731. Been pulling water out of built in tank. Tank is empty now I believe. Brought to several mechanics and problem has not been solved. Need good mechanic!!! Will drive boat to mechanic. We can handle your boat and motor issues. Keep in mind it is the busy season. I try my best to accomodate everyone. With the water, it can only come in a few ways. First, Ethanol gas absorbs water. Lots of water. I went through this with a boat last year. 17' Scout. I pumped the tank dry. I added a couple of gallons of fresh gas. Out came a couple of gallons of water. I repeated this over and over, bow up, bow down, did not matter. Finally got the clean gas I put in to come out as GAS. Many types of fuel fill caps have o-rings. Check'em. They dry rot and disappear. The vent outside on the hull. Is it splash prone? Whats wrong with the steering? Stiff cable? Stripped helm? Water pump no problem. Call or e mail. Give me time to reply. Working 10-12 hour days right now. MattAlso, looking for someone to detail the boat. Compound and wax. Send me messages.
