I went to my boat and there was oil on the transom that leaked from the internal oil tank.
I had the engine raised all of the way, and I believe that the internal oil tank cap may be faulty. It has 3 or 4 wires going into it and the seal or gasket may be bad, but I am not sure. The total amount of oil was about that of a shot glass or two.
Has anyone ever seen this? I am windering if it is common. I had some oil pump work done at the end of last season, but I dont think that has anything to do with this (at least I hope). Any feedback is appreciated.
