« on: July 22, 2007, 10:19:35 PM »
Ok need advice/help from anyone who has been around the hook lately its  about 35 min trip to the hook for me. I want to go around the tip  and look for stripers now im thinking this should be a late afternoon trip correct? Now do I have to go all the way down to the rocks for them? or should i try  somewhere closer for seabass also? I want to fish for either one stripers or seabass doesnt matter  i just dont want to go to the rocks that will take about 1 1/2 easy only have 63 gals  :'(  Thanks

Striper have been at the highlands bridge are in the evening.. If the weather holds I may make a run for the cow again.. if I do go it will be in the afternoon evening.I contact you ..jump aboard it quick and easy for me..But if you go yourself .. get past nude beach locate bunker, snag and drop, won't take long for bass .. also snag and stock the livewell .. bass turn on and off so you may need to move to pods that have fish on them!

most of the time when they talk about the Highlands Bridge and stripers, they are talking about the ocean side.  There are alot of good lumps and structure about 1/2-1 miles off the beach that is parellel with the bridge.  There is also a good pipe line that runs about 1/4 mile off there also that produces fish.

Probably still a bit early for weaks. Especially with water temps cooler then normal now for this time of year.
