Headed out with Scrubby (Flukedood) on Saturday bright and early, topped off the tank at the Highlands and headed out to the grounds. Stayed away from the fleet at much as possible and anchored up. Started chumming and cracking clams heavily until the incoming started to rip. About a half hour after that, we had our first hook up, followed by our second, third, etc. Boat limit plus one by 9am, played catch and release until 10:30 or so and then made our way back in. We caught plenty of shorts and zero blues.
Boat ran great after sitting for a while too. Felt great to be back out on the water again and coming home with meat for the freezer. Going to try for a mid-week Bass trip if I can pull it off.
