Shark River Update
« on: May 12, 2011, 09:20:34 AM »
I've still been going out once a day at least for a few hours at a time-- Lots of sea robins still and no keepers.  :'(  I've been chucking clams and sometimes throw out a Tsunami.

Last night, a gent next to me was using HERRING on a single low rig-- casting to middle of the inlet and letting it drift out.  He pulled a bunch of fish including keepers 1 fluke, 1 flounder, and 1 striper. The striper was 34".  %^#$%^$# I was very jelous, yet happy for the guy.

Onto herring for the next few days.  New Moon Tuesday so lets hope we all pull'em'in-
Happy Fishing

If you're luck in anything like mine, they will be nailing them on clams now...

We were killing the blues at the Barnegate Inlet on bucktails all morning.  Give them a try.  White tipped with either red or pink whatevers, as long as there is movement.

Happy Catching

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Last few days people have been catching blues just inside and around ocean ave bridge using worms/gulp-- I went to throw out some line and someone had discarded massive striper head probably caught early that morning.   cfzd

Fluke being caught inside the river at L/K streets in belmar.  Mostly shorts but keepers are out there.
